Meet our extraordinary March Girl of the Month: Lizzy

Why She’s Awesome:

We’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Lizzy, a remarkable young woman who embodies everything Girls Inc. stands for: strength, intelligence, and boldness!
Lizzy’s achievements speak volumes about her dedication and passion. Not only was she recently featured in our upcoming Girls thINC Outside The Box magazine, but she’s also an active member of the Girls Inc. Youth Leadership Council and the Shasta Lake Sea Scouts. And let’s not forget her outstanding academic performance—straight A’s in school!
When asked about her journey, Lizzy credited Girls Inc. for opening doors to various engineering programs.  Her determination to excel in STEM fields is truly inspiring! But what’s even more heartwarming is Lizzy’s admiration for her mother, who serves as an ultimate role model. Lizzy shared, “My mother inspires me to be strong, smart, and bold because she is stronger and smarter and way bolder than I will ever be.”

Why She Love Science:

“I love science because it’s fun to learn about how everything works in the world and what’s happening on a microscopic level. Science is not one of my favorite subjects in school, but learning about it generally always fascinated me, especially when it ties into daily things that I do all the time.”

What She Wants To Do For Work:

“Currently I have my eyes set on being a Mechatronics Engineer. The things that we all use in our lives daily have been developed by a mechatronics engineer and I think that is pretty cool!”
