Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley’s mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through direct service and advocacy. We make an impact in the communities we serve by equipping girls with the skills and confidence to access a bright and economically-independent future.
Economic Literacy
Through Girls Inc. Economic Literacy, girls learn about money and the economy, including how to manage, invest, and save money and how to help others through philanthropy.
Friendly PEERsuasion
Girls Inc. Friendly PEERsuasion develops the skills of girls ages 11 to 14 to resist pressure to use harmful substances, such as drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and household chemicals.
Mind+Body
Girls Inc. Mind+Body supports and promotes the whole health of girls ages 6-18, using a philosophy which recognizes that many factors, including physical and mental wellness, contribute to girls’ health.
Operation SMART
Girls Inc. Operation SMART develops girls’ enthusiasm for and skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Project BOLD
Through Girls Inc. Project BOLD, girls learn skills and strategies to lead safer lives in their homes, in relationships, in their communities, and online.
Sporting Chance
Through Girls Inc. Sporting Chance, girls build a foundation for enjoying sports, adventure and physical activity throughout their lives.
