Annual Girls Camping Trip

Each summer, North State girls are invited to join the exciting Girls Inc. NSV Camping Trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park. This adventure-filled trip is chaperoned by Girls Inc. mentors and volunteers, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all participants.

What to Expect

  • Hiking and Adventure Planning: Girls will learn the fundamentals of hiking and how to plan and prepare for outdoor adventures.
  • Outdoor Survival Skills: Gain essential survival skills, including navigation, shelter building, and safety practices.
  • Educational Park Activities: Participate in ranger-led activities that provide in-depth knowledge about volcanoes and the unique geology of Lassen Volcanic National Park.
  • Exploration and Discovery: Explore the beautiful landscapes, including visits to Manzanita Lake and local trails, offering opportunities to connect with nature and learn about the environment.
  • Camping Experience: Sleep in comfortable camping cabins, fostering a sense of community and independence.
  • Fun and Fellowship: Make lasting memories with friends through shared experiences, storytelling around the campfire, and team-building activities.
