Why Girls Need Spaces to Dream Big: The 2026 Girls Inc. Roadmap
Why Girls Need Spaces to Dream Big: The Girls Inc. 2026 Roadmap
Every girl deserves a place where she feels supported, encouraged, and empowered to imagine a bold future. At Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley, our mission is simple: provide girls with the tools, confidence, and opportunities to dream big—and the support to make those dreams possible.

Our 2026 Focus
This year, we’re expanding three critical program pillars:
1. Strong — Building mental resilience
Girls will learn how to manage stress, build positive relationships, and develop powerful confidence tools.
2. Smart — STEM + academic enrichment
Hands-on learning in science, digital literacy, robotics, and creative problem-solving.
3. Bold — Leadership, advocacy, and community impact
Girls will lead projects, speak up for causes they care about, and strengthen their voices.
Why This Matters
Girls today face pressure like never before—online, in school, socially, and emotionally.
Our programs create safe, nurturing environments proven to help girls thrive.

How Families & Mentors Can Support This at Home
1. Ask about her dreams—often.
Invite girls to talk about what excites them. Open-ended questions like “What’s something big you’d love to try this year?” help spark imagination.
2. Celebrate curiosity and effort.
Praising the process, not perfection, helps build resilience—one of the core Girls Inc. pillars.
3. Encourage safe exploration.
Provide opportunities to try new hobbies, roles, and challenges. New experiences grow confidence.
4. Talk about strong, smart, and bold choices.
Ask her:
-
“What’s something strong you did today?”
-
“What made you feel smart this week?”
-
“What bold choice are you proud of?”
5. Model dreaming big yourself.
Share your goals, the challenges you face, and how you overcome them. Girls learn by seeing adults pursue their own dreams.
How You Can Help
Whether you donate, volunteer, or simply share our mission, your support opens doors for girls who need it most.
