Meet Development & Communications Manager Christine Swim
Christine Swim: Connecting Community to Purpose at Girls Inc. NSV
At Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley, every story has the power to inspire, every partnership has the ability to create opportunity, and every connection helps build a stronger future for girls. As Development & Communications Manager, Christine Swim is passionate about bringing those stories to life while building meaningful relationships that strengthen the organization’s impact throughout the North State.
Rooted in Community
Born and raised in Shasta County, Christine has a lifelong connection to the community she proudly serves. She joined Girls Inc. NSV in 2024 with a background in marketing, management, administration, and event planning, bringing both strategic thinking and a genuine passion for helping nonprofit organizations grow.
Guided by Albert Einstein’s words, “Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value,” Christine approaches her work with the belief that lasting impact begins by serving others. Whether sharing the stories of the girls, building relationships with community partners, or helping organize fundraising events, her focus is always on creating opportunities that help Girls Inc. NSV continue changing lives.
Sharing the Mission
Christine oversees the organization’s communications, marketing, community engagement, and development initiatives, helping connect families, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners to the mission of Girls Inc. Through storytelling, strategic outreach, and community partnerships, she works to ensure more people understand the life-changing programs Girls Inc. provides and the lasting impact those programs have on girls throughout Shasta and Tehama counties.
For Christine, every newsletter, social media post, sponsorship, event, and conversation is another opportunity to build relationships and inspire others to invest in the next generation of strong, smart, and bold leaders.
A Heart for Service
Outside of work, Christine enjoys traveling, caring for her hobby farm, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her family. Those experiences remind her that the strongest communities are built through kindness, service, and meaningful connections—values she brings with her every day at Girls Inc. NSV.
Christine believes that when a community comes together to invest in girls, everyone benefits. She is honored to help tell the stories that inspire support, strengthen partnerships, and create brighter futures for the girls Girls Inc. NSV proudly serves.
