Meet Board Member Chris Cable
Meet Chris Cable: Community Leader, Mentor, and Advocate
We’re proud to spotlight Chris Cable, a dedicated community member whose life reflects service, leadership, and a passion for helping others thrive.
Originally from Southern California, Chris moved to Redding in 1992 to attend Simpson University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Since then, he has made Northern California his home and built a life centered on family, faith, and community involvement.
Chris is the proud owner of Caliber Office Furniture, a business he has successfully run since 2010. Beyond his professional life, he manages a small hobby farm where he raises cattle and other livestock—a reflection of his hands-on, grounded approach to life.
But what truly sets Chris apart is his heart for service. He serves as a Deacon at his local church, volunteers in the junior high youth group, and gives his time as a mentor with Catalyst Mentoring, supporting students at a local junior high school. His deep belief in the importance of positive role models shines through everything he does.
Chris and his wife have been married for 28 years and are proud parents to two grown children, Jakob and Julianne, who continue to live in the Redding area. When he’s not managing the farm or giving back to the community, you’ll find Chris enjoying his favorite pastimes—hitting the gym, kayaking, or playing a round of golf.
Chris Cable is a shining example of what it means to lead with purpose, and we’re honored to have him as part of our extended Girls Inc. community.
