Meet Liz Suetta Barker: Business Leader, Community Advocate, and Champion for Girls’ Growth

We’re proud to introduce Liz Suetta Barker, a dynamic board member of Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley who brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit, leadership experience, and community passion to our mission.

Liz has lived in Redding throughout her adult life, co-founding and now serving as Chief Operations Officer at Empire Drywall, Inc., a successful construction business she started with her husband in 2008. In addition to leading operations in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Liz also owns and operates Barker Memorials & Monuments, where she helps families honor their loved ones through meaningful, lasting tributes.

Her dedication to uplifting others extends far beyond business. Liz is a passionate community builder—currently serving as the Membership Chair for Redding West Rotary, the Entertainment Chair for Taste of Redding, and the Chair of the Northern Valley Employer Advisory Council. Whether she’s planning local events or facilitating business connections, Liz brings warmth, creativity, and drive to everything she does.

At Girls Inc. NSV, Liz’s leadership and advocacy reflect her belief in the power of bold beginnings and the courage to grow through experience.

“Don’t be afraid to try new things—learning as you go is how you find your true strengths.”

Through her example and service, Liz helps inspire girls to pursue their ambitions, break barriers, and embrace their full potential.

We’re honored to have Liz as part of our board, and excited for the impact she will continue to make in the lives of strong, smart, and bold girls in our region.
